Dark Lurker

The creatures under your bed. The monsters hiding in the closet. Those who go bump in the night.

They go by many names, thriving on the fear that lingers in the darkness of humanity. These beings of pure nightmare exist to consume the lucid dreams of their prey and grow in power before returning to and melding into the greater whole. Thus the sleeping cycle of what defines fear is perpetuated indefinitely.

'What is it that you 'see' when you close your eyes? Is it truly nothing? Or could it be a glimpse into the dark? If so, do we simply refuse to recognize the darkness inherent within each of us?'
