The Circle of Thorns has possessed descendents of Mu for centuries, and has no intentions of stopping. Recently, they have begun possessing non-descendents for investigational purposes. When they discovered Portal Corporation's research, they began to possess employees to find a way to break their deal with the demonic brood. The Possessed Scientists have the powers of Thorn Casters, and are not afraid to use them.
