You go On Patrol by logging out anywhere. While logged out your character will gain a period of double experience gain when you log back in. The longer the character is logged out the greater the duration of this effect. It takes a total of 10 days of logged out time to gain the maximum amount of On Patrol double experience, which will account for an entire level of double experience. After being logged out for a total of thirty days, the character will earn the Patroller (Hero) or Criminal (Villain) badge.
